Christopher Johnson Architect & Associates (CJAAA) is an award-winning, multidisciplinary design office focusing on architecture; furniture and object design; and design research. The firm has a simple and clear mission which is to imagine and create spaces, structures, objects, and ideas that strike a more perfect balance between the needs and desires of people, and our delighted and responsible habitation in all environments both urban and non-urban.

 

Christopher Phillip Johnson received an undergraduate degree in photography and a professional degree in architecture from Drury University, and later attended Columbia University where he obtained a post-professional degree in advanced architectural design.

Formerly, Mr. Johnson was a project architect at several highly respected and accomplished design firms where he worked on projects ranging in size and typology both in the US and internationally. He is licensed to practice architecture in Massachusetts and New York, and is a LEED accredited professional as well as a member of the American Institute of Architects.

Mr. Johnson has received recognition for his work in the US and Europe. He maintains ties to teaching by serving as a regular guest critic at several institutions and by giving lectures and workshops on design and technique.
